My beautiful Aunt Anne was the epitome of a strong Southern woman and she was a guiding light for me. She was soft-spoken and gentle, quiet but strong-willed, quick to lend a helping hand and slow to criticize. Aunt Anne and I spent innumerable hours at her kitchen table in Williston, talking and laughing and crying into the wee hours of the mornings for years after both of my parents had died. She listened, she understood, she accepted. Aunt Anne and my Uncle Keith opened their home and their hearts to me and I am eternally greatful. I loved them both very much. Rest in peace, AA.
