As John's next door neighbors for 24 years, Lynda and I are deeply saddened by his death. To share a single memory is hard to do as there were so many great memories together. However, probably one of the most memorable is from the very first week we moved into our new home next to John and Jean's. I hadn't really met them yet, but somehow knew they would be great neighbors. I went outside to cut the lawn and noticed John outside doing the same. About half way through cutting the lawn, it began to rain, not heavy, but wet enough. Well, both John and I just kept on cutting until we were both through. Jean later said she knew we were a good fit because we both liked keeping a nice yard. We affectionately called John "The Supervisor". All the neighbors in our cul-de-sac counted on John's expertise when we started new projects. John will, and already has been, missed.
