I remember Tyler's giggles before he had meningitis and when I saw that, it brought laughter to the room. I remember being told when Tyler started walking, he would go to the door, anxious to see his dad when he came home from work. I have always been touched when I saw the love and dedication that Dennis and Debbie gave to Tyler all of the many years they took care of him. I am humbled by the fact that they have never used the word, sacrifice but they have used the word, Love.
Kelsi, through all of this, has achieved so much in life, in music and education and work. She is a mature young woman. I could never know this but I am thinking that Tyler is a big part of Dennis, Debbie and Kelsi in their perseverance in life.
I do know this. Observing Tyler and his family has given me a lesson in life that I will carry with me forever.
