Obituary of Hendrik Christiaan Schutte

Hendrik Christiaan Schutte, age 66, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family on September 24th, 2021.

He was born in Pinetown, South Africa on January 3rd, 1955, son of Relte and Alberta Schutte.

He is survived by Esthermarie Schutte, his loving wife of 43 years, sons Relte (Meagan) and Servaas, grandchildren Aiden, Daniel and Lucas, sister Rimmy Keyser, and brothers Martin, John, and Peter.

Henk immigrated his family to Sweden in 1995 and then to the USA in 1999 to give his sons the best opportunities possible. Relte and Servaas are truly grateful for the experiences that Henk made possible. Through the years Henk changed lives of many through his mentoring and tutoring, providing valuable lessons on how to tackle problems and never to give up.

His work in Nuclear Fuels Analysis provided opportunities across the globe until he retired in 2015. After retirement his life revolved around making memories with his grandchildren.

Word cannot express how much we are thankful for all the love and prayers, meals, visits, phone calls, messages, cards, and help you have provided to us during our moments of sorrow. We are so grateful for your friendships and support. Henk is loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
