Obituary of Donald Emerson Roark

Donald Emerson Roark, 88, of Blythewood, SC passed away on Sunday, May, 2, 2021. He was a beloved, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Don grew up in the mountains of western North Carolina where as a young boy he climbed and explored the mountains surrounding his home. This later led to his love of hiking and exploring the wonders of nature in the Great Smokies with his friend Gene. Together they traveled hundreds of miles yearly. 

He was a gifted wood worker, author of two books and loved a hearty debate.
