Obituary of Micheal S. Anderson

Micheal S. Anderson passed away on December 20, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland of complications of Covid-19. He was born May 9, 1950 to the late James Edward Anderson and Miriam Harris Anderson. 

Micheal was of the Baptist faith. He grew up in Columbia, SC graduating from A.C. Flora High School and The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of General Studies degree. He retired from the Air National Guard and The State of South Carolina. He was an avid scuba diver and loved playing golf with his friends.

He leaves behind two sons; Brian Anderson of Austin, Texas and Christopher Anderson of Seville Ohio and a grandson, Colton, also of Seville, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Anderson Moss Daniels of Chapin, a nephew, Randon Moss of Columbia, niece, Brooks Moss of Gaffney and two great-nephews; Hudson and Baden Shytles also of Gaffney.

A very special thank-you for the care Micheal received at Prisma Richland and Hospice. Thank you also to his dive family at Wateree Dive Center, golf buddies and friends who were such a huge part of his life. Thank you Derrick, Wanda, Charles and Penny for the many times he visited your business and home. Also, his many friends at Travinia's off of Clemson Road. He is well loved and missed.
