Obituary of Roger R. Roberts

Roger R. Roberts, 75 of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on December 3, 2020 at Hospice Facility.

He was born on November 16, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Don Sargent Roberts and Bernice Eleanor Knowles. He is survived by his wife Natividad, daughter Amanda, grandchildren; Grayson, Dane and Avery, sisters; Pam, Wenda and Star and brothers; Terry, Tim and Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Bernice Roberts.

When Roger was younger, he spent time on stage acting and competed in many forms of dance. He was an accomplished ballroom dancer and weight lifter (he used to work out with Arnold Schwarzenegger at Gold's Gym when Arnold was training for Mr. Universe.)  He had an affinity for building and fixing all kinds of machines. Later he became the master of everything it takes to rehabilitate a house from the structure to the electrical to the plumbing. He loved the water and chose to live at the beach on the west coast and on a lake on the east coast. Old westerns were his favorite kind of movie and he would often be found watching Clint Eastwood without the sound. Roger was a very trusting person who was willing to go to the ends of the earth to help someone in need. 

The funeral services will be held on December 17, 2020 at 12:00 noon at St. John Neumann, 100 Polo Rd, Columbia, SC 29223 officiated by Father McDonald.
