Obituary of Virginia Lobaugh

Virginia (Ginny) Lobaugh (86) of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Born in 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Winifred Patchel.

Mrs. Lobaugh was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Lake Murray Boating and Sports Club. Mrs. Lobaugh was a long-time employee of AT&T until her retirement in 1993 (Western Electric, Columbus Ohio; Bell South, Columbia, South Carolina).

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Charles Ford Lobaugh in 2009. Surviving are her children, Nancy Lobaugh and husband, Randy McIntosh, of Toronto, Canada, Jeffrey Lobaugh and wife, Jacqulyn, of Murrells Inlet, Laura Lesslie and husband, Leonard, of Chapin; grandchildren, Nicole Chapman of Columbus, Ohio, Amanda and Erin Lesslie, both of Chapin.

A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in the future. South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 525 St. Andrews Rd. Columbia, SC 29210.
