Obituary of Raeshele Lee Clifton

Raeshele Lee (Skinner) Clifton passed away quietly in her sleep December 1, 2020.

Born April 11, 1970 in Columbus, Mississippi, she was the daughter of John Skinner and the late Diane (Ellis) Skinner.

Raeshele (Rae) graduated high school from New Hope Mississippi. She continued her education in the nursing profession. Graduated from Mississippi University for Women, Columbus Mississippi with a degree in nursing.

For several years, she was assigned to the emergency room, cancer ward and travelling RN.

In May of 1996, she first met her future husband, John Fraser Clifton. She moved from Starkville, MS to Columbia, SC in October of the same year and went to work for Richland Memorial Hospital as an RN.

Fraser and Raeshele (Rae) were married August 5, 2000.

Fraser and Rae had several dogs and cats throughout their marriage. A couple that stand out are a Yorkshire Terrier named "Sarah Jane" and a Chihuahua/Mini Pincher named "Rose". Her pets were with them everywhere they went.

Rae was currently employed by Appeals Professional III, C2C Innovations Solutions based in Jacksonville, Florida.

Rae would make every attempt possible to approve procedures for patients that had been turned down by others. Her motto, "review thoroughly and approve whenever possible." Her attention to detail caused her to be considered the subject matter expert within this company and every other she ever worked with.

She loved to read and read voraciously on many subjects. She loved art and music. She was a budding writer. She loved her crafts and drawings. She spent hours learning how to draw and take photographs. Some of her photos were so excellent, that her instructors told her she should do it professionally.

Due to the pandemic and coronavirus, Fraser and John have decided not to have a service. We do request that you, your friends and families get together and celebrate Raeshele's life, reflecting on the impact she made in your life and others.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter. Rae was very active in animal rights. She loved all animals and a donation in her name would have pleased her greatly.
