Obituary of Chelsee Marie Chapman Spires

Chelsee Marie Chapman Spires, 47, of Gaston, SC, passed away on August 13, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center. She was born in Columbia, SC on October 26, 1972 to Thomas Michael and Clarissa Joy (Lee) Chapman. Chelsee was an amazing spirit and a wonderful personality. She had a love for flowers, the stars and enjoyed painting. Chelsee spent the majority of her working life as a bank teller for Bank of America. Her love for animals, especially dogs and cats led to her owning and operated her own business as a dog groomer for several years and enjoying a loyal clientele. Chelsee most enjoyed her family. The times they spent together were treasured. Her bold and sometimes stubbornness will be missed by those who truly loved her.

Chelsee is survived by her husband, Lewis Spires, and her son, Taylor Spires, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins that will treasure her memory. She also leaves behind her beloved four legged baby, Tuxedo.

Chelsee is predeceased by her Grandparents, Robert E. and Elsie (Abney) Lee.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, at 11am at Dunn’s Chapel, 281 Chapel Road, West Columbia. A visitation will be held beginning at 10am, and we ask that all CDC guidelines be observed during the visit.
