Obituary of Lester James Johnson

Lester James Johnson, 50 of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on August 9, 2020.

James had a huge love for his family, especially his daughters and he loved spending time with them. The love he had for his job as a master plumber and tile artisan was just as great. He had a talent to just make things work; the type of guy to throw away the directions and put things together the way he thought it should go.

James is survived by: his mother, Patsy Virginia Johnson, daughters, Breighlyn Maxine and Merissa Summer-Reign, brothers, David and Daniel (Jessica) Johnson, nephews, Seth, Kaleb and Ethan and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by: his father, Allen Leroy “Joe” Johnson and his grandparents, Lester Johnson, Maxine Johnson, Charlie Lloyd Brown and Floria Davis Brown.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Hope Baptist Church, 2117 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229 with a memorial service and celebration of life to follow at 12:00 pm. The service will also be available on Facebook live via the Hope Baptist Church Facebook page.
