Obituary of John Dean Roach

John Dean Roach of Gaston, SC entered eternal rest on June 13, 2020 just one week shy of his 65th Birthday. John was born in Philadelphia, PA to Jackie Dean and Gertrude Ann Roach. John grew up in Mt. Pleasant, SC with his four siblings. John attended area schools and was avid “Tinkerer” learning from his father how to take things apart and put them back together again. He was the only one who came close to inheriting the professional mechanic talents of their father.  John moved to the Columbia/Gaston area where he worked in the commercial refrigeration industry for decades; last working for over fifteen years for Perry’s Refrigeration until retiring in 2019

While John enjoyed many interests in life his greatest joy was his daughter Allison Marie Roach of Cottageville, SC. John was preceded by his late wife Barbara Roach. John is further survived by his sister, Cindy Nelson of Charleston, Brother Michael Roach of Hanahan, SC. Sister Dee Dee Hamlet of West Va, and Brother Joseph Roach of Moncks Corner, SC, Sister Anne Ceila and Brother Joe Ceila of PA and nieces and nephews.

Due the Covid19 Virus service arrangements have been delayed until July 19th at 4.00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the Magnolia Campground, 4031 Charleston Hwy, West Columbia, SC 29072. Please practice social distancing and masks are highly recommended. Burial will be private by the family.
