Obituary of Ruth Ann Keller Frey

Ruth Ann Keller Frey, 76, began Eternal Life on May 30, 2020 at her home in Dalzell, SC.

Ruth Ann was born on February 21, 1944 in Goshen, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Rev. A.L. and Grace (Larsen) Keller. Ruth Ann grew up in Evangelical United Brethren parsonages; the majority of her years spent in Elkhart, Indiana, where she graduated from Elkhart High.  She was a graduate of North Central College, where she met her husband. Ruth Ann was the perfect pastor’s wife despite the fact that she didn’t play the piano. She was an integral part of her husband’s ministry in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and for the last 34 years in South Carolina. 

Ruth Ann was known for her organizational skills, her cooking, her teaching of Sunday School and Bible studies, her writing of inspirational articles, her occasional preaching, and her beautiful singing voice. Her life of servanthood was given to God’s glory.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Paul D. Frey; daughter, Kristin King (William); son, Edward (Amy); sister, Ronda Senn (David); and grandchildren, Christian and David Frey, Andrew and Tessa King.

A family service was held at home on June 5, 2020. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or Saving Sumter’s Strays.
