Obituary of Wanda Sue Hayes Tehonica

Wanda Sue Hayes Tehonica, 68, of Laurens, South Carolina, passed away at her residence with family beside her after a lengthy illness. She was born in Brooks County, Georgia on February 26, 1949 to the late James Brown (J.B.) and Christine Hayes. She lived many years in Griffin, Georgia and recently in Laurens, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn (Teddy) Tehonica, a son, Ronald Stanley Andrews, two brothers, Bobby Hayes and Tommy Hayes, and parents, J.B and Christine Hayes, and grandparents, Leslie and Myrtice May Tillman, and Irvine and Hattie Rowell Hayes. Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Andrews Stanford, and Granddaughter, Alexis (Lexie) Stanford; two sisters and a brother in-law, Judy Gantt of Clinton, SC, and Diane and Benny Hancock of Moultrie, Georgia; and three brothers and sisters in-law, Billy and Jean Hayes of Clinton, SC, Ronny and Alice Hayes of Barney, GA, and Craig and Sherry Hayes of Valdosta; a host of cousins, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews. Sunday morning service will be in her memory on August 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Baptist Church in Barney, Georgia.
