Obituary of Martha Fifer Aufuldish

Martha Fifer Aufuldish, age 54, of Irmo, SC, died peacefully at home on June 11, 2022, after battling breast cancer for the second time.

She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on March 21, 1968 to Gretchen Guck Fifer and the late Roy Fifer. She graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Financial Management. After graduation, she worked a multitude of jobs from loan processor to office manager. Her most important job was raising her daughter.

She enjoyed the simple things in life: listening to birds singing; planting flowers; hiking in the mountains; riding her bike; sitting around a fire; playing backgammon and cribbage. She was a graduate of Clemson University and was a diehard fan (Go Tigers!).

Martha is survived by her loving husband, Edward Gombert Aufuldish and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Aufuldish, sisters, Mary (Fifer) Hanna and Julie Fifer.

The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 195 Amicks Ferry Rd, Chapin, SC, at 1:00 pm on Saturday June 25, 2022. The celebration of her life will immediately follow at her house in Irmo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School, 64 Amherst Avenue, Ticonderoga, NY 12883.
