Obituary of Russell Waldo Stevens

Russell Waldo Stevens, 72, of Hammett Bridge Road in Greer, passed on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Stevens, the son of the late Mood Stevens and the late Flossie Stevens Paul, was born July 24, 1951, in Conway. He graduated from Conway High School and received an associate of science degree from King’s College in Charlotte.

He was predeceased by his daughter Suzy DiCicco of Charlotte. He is survived by a granddaughter, Katie DiCicco and son-in-law, Jim DiCicco both of Charlotte., a sister, Rita Smith of Conway, a brother, Roy Stevens (Sue) of Lexington, two nephews, James Rufus Smith of Aynor and Nathaniel Stevens of Lexington, and four nieces, Doris Peavy of Columbia, Tina Huber of Lexington, Rachel Guster of Greenville, and Alice Stevens of Redmond, Washington.

Stevens owned and operated a landscaping company in Charlotte for many years and later worked in property maintenance until his retirement in 2017.

He was known for his generosity to his family and friends, freely giving his time and expertise to help many.

His life will be remembered in private memorial services at a later date. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides of Agape Care Hospice of Greenville for their care over the last several weeks.
