Obituary of Myriam Wanda Brown

Myriam Wanda (Yeates) Brown passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, with her devoted husband and loved ones by her side.

Originally from Huntington, Texas, she left her family and friends to begin her new life in Columbia, SC with her husband, Robert. Myriam chartered her own successful path as a professional legal secretary, expert crafter of all things, and rescuer of many poodles who were lucky enough to call her, “Mom.” 

In addition to many loved ones who passed before, Myriam is predeceased by her father and mother, Leon and Versie “Pete” Yeates, and her mother-in-law, Helen Brown, whom she loved and cared for as if she were her own. 

Myriam leaves behind her best friend and loving husband of 48 years, their sweet rescue poodles, Teddy and Lucy, who brought her so much joy, and a myriad of family and friends whose lives she touched with her bright light and kindness. We will miss her every day. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Medical Center for their kindness.
