Obituary of Mary Evangeline Lynde

Mary Evangeline Lynde was born to David and Helen Johnson, Jr. on October 16th, 1957 in Mobile, Alabama. She passed at the age of 66 on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Evangeline and her late husband Jeff Lynde lived in Jabez, Kentucky. They traveled the United States together while Jeff earned a living as a trucker. We will remember her as vibrant and witty with a great sense of humor. She loved her family. And she loved her kitty cats, especially Blossom. She made friends wherever she went and brightened any room she walked into.

Evangeline was predeceased by her husband, Jeff Lynde, her mother, Helen Foster and her grandparents, Mary and Ed Richardson and Elbia and Clifton Foster. She is survived by her son, Jesse Brandon Marler, grandson, Lennox Marler, father, David Johnson Jr., step-mother Martha Johnson and siblings, David (Debbi) Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Dixie (Rich) Nolte, and William (Gillian) Johnson.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life to honor their beloved Evangeline at a later date.
