In loving memory of Barbara Moyer

Barbara A Moyer, 84, of Chapin, SC, formerly of Sinking Spring, PA passed away on November 2, 2023. Survived by her two daughters, Marti Moyer, wife of Craig Allshouse of Kilmarnock VA and Julie Bidne, wife of Knute Bidne of Chapin, SC, and her three grandchildren, Abigail Allshouse, Alexa Bidne, and Grant Bidne. Born in Shickshinny, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Mazonkey) Hill. Her husband of 59 years, Leon Moyer, predeceased her in January 2017.

Barbara spoke often of her humble upbringing in Shickshinny and the independence it provided her. Her mother, Rose passed away when she was young, however, she was close to her siblings and had many adventures, especially with her sister, Dorothy.

Barbara was a graduate of West York High School. She married young but always enjoyed working in business operations positions. Her passion for the financial markets was fueled by her husband and her sister, Rosemary, as she always enjoyed discussions of investment opportunities. She spent most of her late career in credit and collections for Executone in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She deeply loved her family, gardening, fashion, interior design, Sunday football games, and all her fur babies.

Barbara supported many nonprofit organizations, one of her favorites always being the Arbor Day Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2024.
