Obituary of Byron David Livingston

Byron David Livingston, 67, of Swansea, SC entered his Eternal Home with Jesus on November 9, 2023.

Born in North, SC, he was a son of the late George Clarence Livingston, Jr. and Pauline Reed Livingston. He grew up on the farm where he learned to drive a tractor at an early age. He enjoyed many hobbies including hunting and fishing. He raced his dirt track car at Sumter Speedway, and found his passion for motorcycles in his later years. He loved riding his Harley Davidson with many friends and was known as “Cricket”. His other loves were his Corvette and Mustang 5.0.

Byron was a long distance truck driver and traveled the United States in his early years. He then went on to operate heavy equipment for Lad Corporation where he later retired. After retirement, he and Judy spent summers in Maggie Valley, NC where they made a “Home Away from Home” where they made many beloved friends.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Brazell Livingston and children, Allison Renee Livingston, Jennifer (Cliff) Privette, and Jason (Teri) Moore; grandchildren, Kimberly (Brianna) Anderson, Bradley (Samantha) Anderson, Jace Moore; great-grandchildren, Mason and Madison Anderson. Other Survivors include his sister, Betty Rose (Frank) Smith; mother-in-law, Nora Coker; brother-in-law, Boyd (Valerie) Brazell; sister-in-law, Donna (Richard) Hach; special aunt, Nellie Lu Reed, a number of nieces and nephews, as well as many special cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother, G. Ben Livingston, brother-in-law, Brian Brazell, and 5 grandchildren that were “Too Beautiful for Earth”.

The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice, and especially Diane Jamison, for the care and compassion shown during his illness.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a church or charity of your choice or to Christ Cares 4 You, PO Box 44, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
