Obituary of Jessie Faye Todd

Jessie Faye Todd passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 3, 2023. Jessie Faye Turner was born in Columbia, SC on July 7, 1943 to Padgett and Edith Turner.

Jessie Faye married Gene Todd in 1972 and they spent 50 wonderful years together. She was many things to many people, but most would describe her as an artist, a crafter, and an adventurer. If you asked her though, she was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a grandmother and even a great-grandmother. She always believed her family to be her biggest accomplishment and it brought her the most joy in her life. She never met a stranger but on the occasion that she did, she would make sure they left with the word of God and maybe a few art skills. Jessie Faye will always live on in our hearts and minds as a God fearing, gospel singing, and creator of beautiful art.

Jessie Faye was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Turner (Irma lee), Roy Turner, and Bertie Hicks (Wayne), her son-in-law, Danny Seibel, and her oldest granddaughter, Sarah Seibel.

Surviving to carry on her legacy is her husband Gene, daughter Angela, granddaughter Chrissie (Donnie), and her two great-grandchildren, Caylee and Cody. Also surviving are beloved nieces and nephews, Juie Hicks, Benji Hicks, Barbara Kimsey, Sharon Canada, Fran Fields, Sandra Kirkland and their families. She also leaves behind many friends she made throughout her amazing life.

Jessie Faye will have a celebration of life at Laurel Baptist Church, 2250 Pine St, West Columbia, SC 29170 on October 29, 2023 at 2pm.
