Obituary of Geraldine Byford Bumpas

In loving memory of my mother, Geraldine Byford Bumpas, 95, of Elgin, SC.

Gerri passed away at home, the afternoon of September 26, 2023.

Gerri loved her family and friends, listening to music, the beach, the mountains and singing in the church choir. She was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Elgin, SC.

Gerri was predeceased by her father, mother, two husbands, her son and several siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Coffin, granddaughter, Lisa Houdek and niece, Calli Jane Coleman.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice for their loving care and support. She loved her caregivers so much.

Gerri has requested no services be held and that ashes be interred at Greenlawn Memorial Park beside her husband. In lieu for flowers, please send donations in her name to The Alzheimer’s Association or
