Obituary of William VanHoose, Jr.

William VanHoose, Jr, age 50, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home in Camden, the city that he loved. He was born on November 5, 1972 to the late Anna Collins and William VanHoose, Sr.

William was a retired utility line clearance worker for the City of Camden where he worked for nearly 30 years. He loved spending his time fishing, drinking Red Bull/Orange Mountain Dew and watching cartoons/cops with his kids/grandkids. He was the most kindhearted spirit anyone could meet. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

He leaves behind his four amazing children, Dustin (Meghan) VanHoose, William (Jessica) VanHoose III, Shania (Gunner) VanHoose and Matthew VanHoose, seven grandchildren, Jessie, Promise, Everett, FaeLynn, Kolbie, Brooklyn and Gracie, five siblings, Tommy VanHoose, Timmy (Jill) VanHoose, Kim (Bill) Miller, Marianda (Ryan) Driggers and Vance VanHoose, multiple nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, along with his cousin, or as he liked to call her, his other mother, Minnie Ruth Leroy.

He is predeceased by his parents, Anna Collins and William VanHoose, Sr. His brother, Billy VanHoose and sister Brenda Faye VanHoose. As well as his life long friend, David Pilcher.
