Obituary of Harold Haven Humphrey, Jr.

Harold Haven Humphrey, Jr. of Gaston, South Carolina and formerly of Scarbro, West Virginia, was called home on Friday, July 14, 2023 surrounded by his wife, Lorraine, daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Michael, sisters, Clara ad Brenda, and brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Susan and his beloved dog, Misty. Harold, aka Junior, was born on March 5, 1957 in Washington, DC to Roxie and Harold aka "Speedy" Humphrey, also formerly of Scarbro, West Virginia.

Junior served in the US Army as an SP4 Motor Transport Operator, the West Virginia National Guard, and had a diverse career in car detailing, as a forklift operator, a rental agent for Hertz, a cargo handler for the airline, and working for UPS. Junior's hobbies consisted of fishing, vacations with Lorraine, watching the birds (cardinals) at his house, watching fireworks, listening to country music at Bubba's with Lorraine, watching football (Clemson and West Virginia Mountaineers), watching Nascar (Kyle Busch), and shopping for unique gifts for Lorraine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie and Harold Humphrey, and a brother-in-law, Johnny Thorne. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lorraine Humphrey of the residence, mother-in-law, Becky Langston of the residence, daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Michael of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Megan and Jeremiah Goings of Oak Hill, West Virginia, and Amber of Charleston, West Virginia, siblings and their spouses, Clara Thorne of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Evelyn Joanne and Jimmy Crisp of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Donna Lopez of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Brenda and David Eary of Cass, West Virginia, Jimmy Humphrey of Columbia, South Carolina and Terry Wayne Humphrey of Montgomery, West Virginia, his beloved dog, Misty and many other family members he loved and was loved by.
