Obituary of James Baughman, Sr.

James Baughman, Sr., born March 28, 1930, passed away Saturday night, May 13, 2023 around 8:40 pm peacefully in his home on hospice care.

He was 93 years old and the last of his siblings to cross over the bridge. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lois “Jean” Baughman and only child, James Baughman, Jr.

He leaves behind three grandchildren, Chris, Reid, and Lindy Baughman and six great-grandchildren.

He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1951. He retired from Allied Chemical over 30 years ago where he served as Supervisor for 30 years.

He was a loving father and husband with a rich life of family and friends. He loved the mountains, camping, motorcycles, fixing things around the house and watching old westerns on TV.

He was loved very much by all the family and returned that love in great quantity.  May he now rest in peace and be without pain and suffering from being in an aged body with a younger mind. He will be missed but the love for him will carry on into eternity. The world may have lost a bright light but the heavens gained a shining star.

He is to be cremated and his ashes to be buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery along with other family members there.
