Obituary of Ralph C. Stitely, Jr.

Ralph C. Stitely, Jr. aka Bud or Lerch, as he was known by friends, passed on February 21, 2023 at his home he shared with his son in South Carolina. He was born on October 31, 1935 to Ralph C. Stitely, Sr. and Urcelia Elvira (Miller) Stitely of Crossroads.

Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty M. Stitely (Betty Boop or Granny-O); his parents, his three brothers and two sisters as well as three grandsons. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Strevig (Tim Kinsely) of Dallastown, PA and his son, Deron Stitely (Tanya) of Columbia, SC, his granddaughter, Melissa Stitely (Donnie Platts) of Red Lion, PA; his grandsons, David Wokrman (Susie Reznick) of Dallastown, PA, Dylon Stitely (Kayla) of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by three great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was retired from York International (Johnson Controls) and he also worked at Miller & Stitely Feed Mill. He played baseball for the Conrads, Felton and Windsor baseball teams, he bowled on a bowling league at Red Lion Bowling Alley, he also loved to pitch horseshoes and go hunting in Tiogo County. He was a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan and loved the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved spending time with his family, planting flowers and gardening. He loved all of his family and was very proud of them.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s honor can be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
