Obituary of Kaye Hutto Jordan

Kaye Hutto Jordan passed away on January 20, 2023. Born January 11, 1954 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Hilda Hallman Hutto. She was an avid cosmetologist for over thirty years, and in her later years, she shared her floral talents with the Columbia community. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, and will be missed by many.

She was predeceased by her husband William “Billy” Jordan.

She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Brazell, Linda Hite, David Hallman, Vicki Sosbee, and Ruthie Hutto; her companions and caregivers, William “Bill” Trackwell and pup “Precious”; a number of nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Since she never had children, her legacy may live on through the lives of those at Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home (PO Box 1178 Greenwood, SC 29648 – 1178). For those who wish to send flowers, they should be sent to Thompson Funeral Home (845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC 29209).

The Celebration of Life service will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park (845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC 29209), February 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. After the service, there will be a visitation with the family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Lighthouse Hospice for your assistance in care.

South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family. Family and friends may sign the online guest book by clicking on the “Tribute Wall” tab above.
