Obituary of Leonard Edward Wisner

Leonard (Lenny/Rink) Edward Wisner, passed away peacefully at the age of 54 in Eastover, SC at home with his sister by his side on Friday, March 29, 2024. Born September 29, 1969, in Wheeling, WV. Lenny was the son of late Leonard Eugene Wisner Jr. and Carol Wisner (Debnar).

Lenny lived most of his life in Wellsburg, WV and was a graduate of Brooke High School Class of 1987. He served in the US Coast Guard for over six years after high school graduation.

To say that Lenny was an avid fisherman and hunter would be an understatement. His best times were spent with his family and friends hunting in West Virginia, Pennsylvania or Ohio; or out fishing at Lake Erie, Lake Pymatuning or the Ohio River. Lenny enjoyed going to rock concerts with his friends and hosting outdoor family and friend gatherings with fish and venison as the main course. He was a devoted Pittsburg Penguins and Steelers fan. Lenny loved his children and grandchildren immensely, and his longtime best friend for over 9 years and fiancé, Jana Ayers of Wellsburg, WV.

Left to cherish Lenny’s memory are his children, Keshia Wisner of Kensington, OH and Chad Wisner of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Alana and Emma Martin; fiancé, Jana Ayers of Wellsburg, WV; and sister, Kimberly L. Miller (JP) of Eastover, SC.

He will be missed greatly, but fondly remembered in the hearts all of those he loved.
