Obituary of Paul Herrington

Paul Herrington died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 84. Paul was born in Lefore, Oklahoma on May 1, 1937 to Mr. and Mrs. Luke Herrington. Paul and Susan Herrington were married from 1980 until he passed away.

Paul was a Marketing Executive in the Healthcare Industry and served as National Marketing Director for the Amedco Corporation with retirement communities from coast to coast. Later, Paul worked for the National Retirement Corporation as Vice President of Marketing and Development. He was key in the development and marketing of Hulon Green, a retirement community for Lexington Medical Center. He helped market a similar retirement community, Kalmia Landing, in Aiken, SC for National Retirement Corporation.

Paul and his wife lived on Lake Murray for several years and Paul was a member of the Lake Murray Irmo Navy, patroling the lake and protecting for Russian Submarine Invasions!!! After work was completed in Lexington, Paul continued working in his field in Florida and Michigan. Upon retirement, Paul and his wife Susan moved back to Lexington and enjoyed a wonderful life with plenty of golf and the cheering on of the Kansas City Chief's football team.

Paul will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Susan Herrington, a daughter, Paula Serrone of Kansas City, a grandson, Michael Herrington of Kansas City and a granddaughter, Jessica Elston of Lexington.
