Obituary of Christopher Matthew Burkett

Christopher Matthew Burkett, 40, passed away on October 12, 2021.  He is survived by his wife Laura, his mother Roxanne Burkett, his father Rick (Sharon) Burkett, his sister Andrea Collins, and two nephews, Carson and Landon Collins. 

Chris had an infectious smile, loved to laugh, and shared a passion for music with his closest friends.  He was an outdoorsman who loved to work in his yard, hike the local trails, and search for the best fishing spots.  A lover of animals, Chris considered his dogs (Penny Lane and Toby) and cat (Koi) to be his children. 

 A Celebration of Life is being held for family and close friends on Saturday, October 23 at his childhood home in Lexington.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
