I have many wonderful memories of Susie as a child and then as a young lady. I first met Susie when she was a child at Mike and Sue's home. She was a happy bundle of joy who would run up to me and give me a big hug. I remember sitting on the back porch with her and petting her dogs, black labs as I recall. She was full of life, energy and love and was a pure joy to be around.
Later, after she became sick, I had the pleasure of visiting with her in the hospital on several occasions. She had so many surgeries that her hospital room was decorated as a private room. I never knew anyone who had so many surgeries as Susie and yet she never complained. Susie loved to share her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ with me and always blessed me with her Godly wisdom she acquired so early in life. Susie's faith grew during her many trials and she became a great encouragement to me as well as many others.
Susie not only shared her faith, she lived it.
Susie is a young lady I will never forget.
My heart broke when Mike and Sue called me and said Susie had left.
I grieve for us but not for Susie. She is in the wonderful presence of our dear Lord Jesus, free from all pain in her new perfect body. I do rejoice that as Christians, we know we will see Susie again. 1st. Thessalonians 4: 13-18.
