I just learned of Janet’s passing. I met Janet in my freshman year at the University of Massachusetts and thought she was a brilliant and dynamic young woman with incredible resiliency and energy. I attended her first wedding and was later amazed at her commitment to Denis, her baby, “Denny” and to her studies. We lost touch after graduation and the last I knew she was teaching in Falmouth. Rest in Peace, Janet.
I'm so sorry to read of Ms Spring's passing. I was fortunate to have been in one of her classes at Falmouth High. Her joy of teaching (and learning) and sharing that gift with her students continues to have a profound impact on me. I'm so grateful to have had that time with her. May she rest in eternal peace.
May perpetual light shine upon you, Janet. And may the blessings, consolation, and love of Our Almighty Father, His son, Jesus Christ, and all the angels and saints be with your family. Sukari B. Salone'
Janet(Mandy) was my aunt. Many fun memories from my childhood when she would visit my mom and grandmother. She was always vibrant and curious. For sure Aunt Mandy was a life long teacher. On her many visits she was always sharing new culinary dishes. Her gifts were always filled with thought and purpose. I still remember when I went to visit her with my grandmother, in Falmouth MA, how she compassionately rubbed the forehead of the lobster before boiling him. On that same visit I got to sit in and observe her teach her high school English class. I was young, but it was clear her students respected her and that she enjoyed teaching her students English lit. In my childhood mind it was like a scene out of Dead Poet's Society. In my teenage years on her visits we would always discuss the books I was reading in school. I would take her recommendations too. They were always good.
I am so happy that she found her Savior Jesus Christ. Praise God. Amen.
Rest in peace Aunt Mandy

May perpetual light shine upon you, Janet! You were a light to so many and such a dedicated Christian. You inspired us to do more for Christ. We loved working with you at SJN and will never forget you! Now Rest In Peace in Christ’s loving arms, our friend.

Janet was such a joy to co-teach with during children’s liturgy at St. John Neumann Church. She always reminded the kids that it’s never too late to learn to love God, learn to pray, or become Catholic as she did later in life.
