Obituary of Cathy Jane Kloman

Cathy Jane Kloman, 58, of Columbia, SC,  passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

The youngest of two children, Cathy was born in Bethesda, MD on September 8, 1962 to John Robert and Mildred Ann (Walters) Brazel. Cathy spent her childhood in a variety of military towns during her father’s Air Force career; These experiences, along with her father’s own love of travel, fostered her desire to explore new places. Cathy’s caring heart made her a special addition to the retail and customer service industry, leading her to find great joy in serving her community with a smile. On January 22, 2018, Cathy assumed her role as GaGa with utter devotion. Her deeply creative nature fueled her great passion for sewing, crafting, and sharing handmade gifts with those she loved.

She is survived by her daughter Ashley Kloman Brazel, granddaughter Scarlett Jane Brazel, mother Mildred Ann Brazel, sister-in-law Linda (Tony) Brazel and niece, Tara Brazel (Stephen Nichols). She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Brazel and older brother Tony (Linda) Brazel.

A private memorial service will follow at a later date.
