Mrs Libbie, I am so sorry for you and your family. I have seen various updates from time to time on Mike's condition. I remember bowling with Mike many times especially back when we participated in the church bowling league. It was always a good time and always enjoyed the fellowship. Mike will be missed.

I was a relatively shy and non-athletic young teen when Mike shared his bowling expertise - and his wrist brace - to teach me how to throw a bowling ball straight. Even in my required bowling class at my liberal arts college, his one-time lesson from the summer church bowling league season years before stayed in my head. He was a kind and thoughtful person who “saw me”, which made a difference! I’m sure I’m not the only one with a similar experience because he was just like that, looking out for, and helping, others.
Praying for his sweet family during their time of grief.

A lot of my growing up was spent with Mickey and they were days that I will cherish forever. I will miss you cousin but because of our faith we will see each other again. I know your brothers and Donna and Libby and the girls will have heavy hearts but that pain will soon be replaced by precious memories we all shared. Joan and I send our love and prayers.

One of my best memories of my friend is the day that we went golfing when my father came to Korea to visit. We were standing on the 8th/17th par 3 hole at the Evergreen Golf Course, where a week earlier we one of our playing partners hit a hole-in-one, and my dad said we were going to see another one today. Mike hits his ball and we see it rolling to the hole but stops. Thinking he had to be just inches from the hole we drove up to the green. The wind stops and his ball falls in the hole for a hole-in-one. Mike said it was his first one. We were so excited, only to have the club house say they wouldn’t do anything for him because he wasn’t a member. I fixed that though because I found an awesome crystal trophy that the ball could be set on and got it for him with the date he hit it. I remember the look on his face when I gave it to him. Priceless. Mike would give you the shirt off your back and no matter how crappy your day might be going, always brought a smile to your face and made you feel that everything was ok. I enjoyed every time we spent time together and will cherish them for ever. Thank you Mike for being my friend and I can’t wait to see you again on the other side.

This is Mike at the left behind the car at Darlington in the late 70’s. We had some good times at the drag races iver the years. Last big trip to the Gatornationals in 2018. And who could forget Burford’s Barber shop bowling team at Star Lanes. And the trip to Tampa in. Leisure van with Kenny Skenes, Doug Alread, David Ledbitter, Mike And myself. Great memories. Miss you buddy.
