Obituary of James Ward

James "Butch" Ward passed away peacefully on May 7, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina.  He was born December 5, 1946 to the late James Ward and Charlene Renee Baland.  Butch was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Susan Marie Ward in 2020.  He is survived by his son James Ward, his brother Billy Joe Ward (Barbara)  his 2 grandchildren James Meredith and Nora Albright and their Mother Malisa Meredith. 

Butch was a member of the Cayce Moose Lodge #462 in West Columbia.  He was also an avid Miami Dolphins fan.  

A memorial service is being planned for a later date. 

The family would like to thank Rhonda Spillers Austin for her compassionate care over the last few years she provided for both Sue and Butch.  We would also like to thank Opus Rehabilitation Center for the care that Butch received there.
