Obituary of Florence Diaz

Florence Diaz, age 80 of Union City, New Jersey and Blythewood, South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 surrounded by her daughters and daughter-in-law at home. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on April 29, 1940, Florence was the daughter of Santiago Rodriguez and Marta Ortiz. 

Florence is survived by her daughters; Jeannette and Sandy Diaz, her sister, Caridad Rodriguez Ortiz, nieces and nephews. In addition to being a mother and wife, Florence was a loving Aunt and Sister.

Florence lived life to the fullest and her love of family was always her priority. She is remembered by her nieces and nephews as a second mother. Florence loved to cook and showed her love by cooking for every special occasion. When Florence was not cooking she enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the Casinos.

Family and friends will always remember her for her feistiness and her dedication to her everlasting love for her daughters. Florence will forever be in our hearts!
