Obituary for James Byron Loner

James Byron Loner, 37, of Gilbert, South Carolina passed away October 15, 2020.  James was born on April 12, 1983 in Columbia, South Carolina to Robert and Debra (Wright) Loner.  James loved the Lord, was a Christian, and was an outgoing and fun loving personality.  He was a carpenter by trade and was an extremely hard worker.  James took pride in his work and did it to the best of his abilities.  When he was not working, he enjoyed watching sports and had an amazing knowledge of players and teams.  James was an avid reader of the Bible and journals of the things he read and his thoughts.   James most enjoyed time with his family.  The holidays, especially Thanksgiving were his favorites.  He loved time, and just being with his family, especially his son.  The times spent together were full of laughter and the joys of being with whom he loved.

James is survived by his Son; Elijah James Loner, a sister, April Beachum (Kevin) of Gaston, SC, brothers, Robert “Trey” Loner, III, of Gaston, SC and Marcus A. Loner (Lesley) of Prosperity, SC, his paternal grandfather, Robert W Loner, Sr. of Blythewood, SC.  He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins left behind to treasure his memory.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Millie Ruth (Harper) Loner, and his maternal grandparents, Donnie L. Wright, Sr. and Great Grandmother Mamie Germany.

A celebration of James’ new life will be at First Baptist Church of Gilbert, 441 Lewie Street, Gilbert, SC 29054 on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at 11:00 with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary.
