Obituary of Rebecca Carolyn Snider

Rebecca C. Snider (known to friends and family as Becky) passed away Tuesday September 15th, 2020 in Agape Hospice House of the Midlands, Columbia South Carolina. She is survived by her sister Rosalind Zacharias of Lexington SC, sister Elberta June Vargo of Jane Lew WV, ex-spouse Bill Mick of Bridgeport WV, son Marty Scott Snider of Bridgeport WV, daughter Lisa Michele Fitzgerald of Lexington SC, grandchildren Kile, Sam, and Graham Fitzgerald. She is predeceased by her sister Ruby Betty Carpenter.

Born January 24, 1940 to Phoebe Jane Miller Malcomb and Bert Marion Calvin Malcomb in Nutter Fort WV. Graduated from Roosevelt Wilson (RW) High School Class of 1957. Rebecca was a woman who enjoyed the finer things in life. She enjoyed fine dining, fine fashion, and even finer company. She surrounded herself in those of likeminded tastes, spared no expense for those she treated. A staunch Republican with a deep love of her country and of the fine men and women running it. Moreover, her compassion and generosity to her loved ones knew no bounds or limitations. A well of love and support, nothing Rebecca did was ever done without consideration to those involved in her life. Wonderfully clever with a rich sense of humor, Rebecca was a shining light in the lives of those she touched. That light will linger on in the memory of her loved ones who will so hold her near and dear to their hearts.

Services will be held for Rebecca in the Summer of 2021 and relevant information pertaining to that time will be distributed to friends and family.
