Obituary of Mary Ila Cupstid

Mary was born in Savannah, GA on October 17, 1943 to the late Woodrow “Red” Cupstid and Bernice Spires Franco. She was deceased on August 2, 2020.

Mary is survived by her brothers and sister, Tommy Cupstid of Savannah, GA, Ellis Cupstid of West Palm Beach, Fl and Anice Plickaytis of El Cajon, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also loved dearly by her Bonus Family, the McGinnis’, Hammond’s and Dusenbury’s. Mary was a retired Nanny, a Christian, and Patriot. She was a member of the West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene.  Mary loved talking about her Sweet Jesus, President Donald Trump and her adorable Jack-A-Doodle named Parris. She was a fabulous baker. Anyone who was blessed to eat her cakes will agree. Prior to falling ill, Mary loved working in the yard with Ms. Nettie. The family would like to give thanks to the staff of OPUS and Hospice Care of South Carolina for taking such good care of Mary over the last 8 months. Mary will be missed by all her family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at a later date.
