Obituary of Alta May Day

Alta May Day, 81 of Lexington, SC passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020. She was born December 9th, 1938 in Beaver Falls, PA to the late Isaac and Lucille Veon.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Day Sr, 6 children: Robert Day Jr (Joyce), Leroy Day (Rosemary), April Vermillion (James), Bert Day (Debbie), Jeannette Farr (Carey) and Henry Day, 13 grand children and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son John Day.

Alta attended Radius Church of Lexington and was a long-time member of Struthers Church of God in Ohio. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful servant. She always had a smile on her face and was an encourager to everyone. Her favorite song “The Old Rugged Cross” and her favorite verse was Psalm 98:1 “Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things, his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.”

A private ceremony for the family will be observed with a celebration of life to be held in Ohio at a time to be determined.
