Obituary of Irene Alice Goretski

Irene Alice Goretski, also known as GR (Grandma Renee), passed away on January 15, 2023, in Lexington, SC, at the age of 89 years. She was born February 18, 1933, in West Granville, MA.

The daughter of the late Pauline and Joseph Kuznicki. Predeceased by her sister, Wanda Bielak, brothers Edmond and Chester Kuznicki, and son Martin Hill.

She is survived by sisters, Jane Pinsley and Carolyn Wayne, sons, Raymond Hill of Columbia, SC, Curtis (Sharon) Hill of Fayettville, GA, Darren (Crystal) Hill of Howard, CO, and daughter, Laurie (Jay) Grooms of Chapin, SC.

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her Hope Lutheran Church family. She found great joy in crafts and loved yarn with a passion. She was friends to many and generous to those in need.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 1400 Kennerly Rd, Irmo, SC 29063 on January 21, 2023, visitation at 1:00 pm and funeral service at 2:00 pm.
