Obituary of Joseph N. Furtick

Joseph (Joe) N. Furtick Sr, 73 died Saturday November 19, 2022 at home. He was born January 23,1949 in Cayce, South Carolina where he grew up.

Mr. Furtick worked for City of Columbia in the early 70's, later on to Reco in Cayce, SC in late 70's where he retired in early 2000. He was the son of the late Thomas Herbert Furtick and Lonnie Mae (Dowd) Furtick. Mr. Furtick was the most caring Dad, granddad, and great granddad. He loved sharing anything he cooked or just something out of his freezer. Mr. Furtick was a man, if you knew him, you loved him. Some would even call him a Legend.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years (separated) Kathy L. Furtick, his daughter, Angela of Gaston, his son, Joseph Jr. (Melissa) of West Columbia, and his grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly, Maddy & Katey. He was predeceased by his son, Jody N. Furtick, his father, Thomas H Furtick, his mother, Lonnie M Furtick, his sister, Alice Mcgiver, his brother, Tommy Furtick & his great grand baby. He also had a longtime companion, Cheryle D Parker.
