Obituary of Jenn Sistare Robertson
Jenn Sistare Robertson passed away unexpectedly December 22, 2019. She was born December 31, 1940 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Ella and James Sistare.
Jenn was predeceased by her loving husband, the late James Donald Robertson. Together, they worked on archaeological sites in the Jocassee Gorges prior to the creation of Lake Jocassee, as well as the Savannah River area. They were pioneers in rejuvenating Elmwood Park and worked for historic preservation. They were also avid lovers of nature and local geological wonders such as Peachtree Rock and Forty Acre Rock. Jenn was a long time devoted employee of Charlton Hall Galleries and antiques were her passion.
Jenn is survived by her devoted "girls", daughter Robin Stancik; grandaughters Lydia (Matthew)Harness and Elizabeth Stancik and by her precious great grandson, Cai, all of Columbia. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Katherine Sharpe and niece, Belinda Jank of Cleburne, Texas and her dear brother, Robert Sistare (Ann) of Pickens, South Carolina. Jenn leaves behind her cherished furry companion, Lance, as well as many treasured friends.
A celebration of Jenn's life will be held at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church on the 25th of January, 2020 at two p.m. Memorials may be made to Pawmetto Lifeline, an organization very important to Jenn, at 1275 Bower Parkway, Columbia, SC, 29212.
