Rodney “Rock” Roberts

1946-2019

Rodney 73 of the city of New York (Bronx), passed away on December 12, 2019 in Lexington South Carolina.  He was born on January 4, 1946 to the late George and Virginia Lewis-Roberts.  He had a passion for cooking and baking at an early age, his father taught him how all the wonderful things about how to cook Caribbean and Soul food.   Rodney worked in the family restaurant in New York and loved to cook for the family, friends, and church events.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 27 years, Alease Roberts, two daughters, Pleasant and Rodnaya Roberts, one stepdaughter Dionne Dunlap, and one stepson Mitchel Paige-Dunlap, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister and one brother-n-law; Sharon and Willie Sillard.  A special niece Shaniqua Dotson-Brown and a host of many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
