Obituary of Anthony James Tranchina

Anthony "Tony" Tranchina, Jr. died peacefully in New Orleans, LA at the age of 59. Tony is survived by his mother, Agnes; his siblings Paul, James, Cathleen Roussel, Mark, and Nancy Braud; his children, Chris (Tanya), Katie Dunn (Sam), and Kara Hayes (James); and his grandchildren, Alex, Zoe, Noah, Molly, Emma, and Charlie. He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony Sr. and brother, Thomas. In lieu of services, a Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Pard Playground in Marrero at 10:00am, beginning with cabbage ball game, followed by lunch. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony's life; come dressed to play ball. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation.
