Obituary for Rebeth C Johnson

Rebeth C Johnson, 85, of Irmo, South Carolina passed away August 10, 2019 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on July 20, 1934 in Norwood, North Carolina to the late John and Effie (Hutchinson) Eddins.
Rebeth was one of twelve children born to her parents.  Upon her completion of High School in North Carolina, she enlisted in the United States Navy where she proudly served and met her husband, Aubrey Johnson, Sr.  They fell in love and were married.  After her proud military service, she gained a passion for helping others, training to be a physical therapist assistant. Rebeth enjoyed helping the patients that she served and spent many years in public and private practice doing the job she loved.  Rebeth enjoyed gardening and was able to raise the most beautiful flowers and amazing vegetables.  She most enjoyed spending time with her family.  The times that they spent together were filled with making treasured memories and special moments.  She will be missed by those she loved, and those that loved her.  

Rebeth is survived by her children; Cynthia Johnson Carden, Cheryl Poston Johnson, (Monica), grandchildren: Trey Carden (Crystal). Jesica Carden, Conner Poston, Tucker Poston (Breanna), great-grandchildren: Aleiya Oree and Asher Poston and a sister, Annie Bell Shankle.  Rebeth also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins to treasure her memory.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aubrey Johnson, Jr. and many brothers and sisters.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the family.
