Obituary for Kevin James Doney

Kevin James Doney, 52, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away July 28, 2019 at 2:49 PM surrounded by his family at Prisma Health Baptist Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on July 22, 1967 and raised in Auburn, New York to Kathy (Eddie) Doney and the late Warren Doney, but he considered South Carolina his home. Kevin was a hard working electrician and an amazing provider for his family.  He had a kind and gentle spirit and showed himself to you when he got to know you.  He enjoyed being outside whether it be working in the yard, getting to watch his beloved Gamecocks or riding his motorcycle.  When he was not working, he truly enjoyed being with his family.  They enjoyed bonfires, cookouts, and the many trips to many of our local ice cream parlors.  He will be missed by those he loved, and those that loved him.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lesley (Vecchio) Doney, children; Alicia Peterson (William), Kenneth Doney (Lisa) and Brenna Doney (Tom Tackman), grandchildren; Gabriel, Savannah, Emma, Coltin, Lucas, Emily and Madison. He also leaves behind, Betsy Wyant, Susan Kohanski (Tim) and Keith Doney (Leisa) and many other aunts, uncles and cousins to treasure his memory.

A Celebration of life is being planned in both South Carolina and New York and will be announced by the family.
