Mary Carol Frye, 76, died peacefully at her home in West Columbia on Friday May 3rd, 2019 after a long illness. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 11th at 2 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in West Columbia.

Carol was born in Montgomery, AL on January 6th, 1943 to the late Robert and Mary Brewer. She grew up in Opelika, AL and was a graduate of Opelika High School. She was married and amicably divorced from the late William “Bill” McCarter of Opelika.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she became a lay speaker, and was an active member of Emmaus of the Midlands. She loved to laugh and share a good story and was a lifelong Auburn fan. War Eagle!
