Aaron Edward James Scaglione
Born December 25, 1966, died after a long illness on April 22, 2019.
Survived by his devoted and loving wife of eighteen years, Pamela Ann (Karalus), pre-deceased by his parents Jerrold and Pauline, and sister Stephanie. Survived by sister Alexandra (Handley), father in law George Karalus (Barbara deceased), sisters Susan and Mary (Mulder), brother George (Ellabeth), nephews Paul (Kaitlyn), Edward and George III, nieces Madeline and Katherine, and great niece Amelia.
Aaron dedicated his life of service to law enforcement, serving as a Richland County Sheriff. He proudly served in the United States Army, deployed to Afghanistan. He later served in the South Carolina National Guard. He attended the University of South Carolina.
Aaron enjoyed spending time with his wife, studying Military History, reading, watching movies and keeping pace with new technology.
Although ill, Aaron continued to volunteer as a Grant Writer to various Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the State of South Carolina.He will be dearly and sadly missed by Pam.
A private family Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. John Newman Church with friends welcome to Military Burial immediately following at Fort Jackson National Veterans Cemetery this summer.
