Obituary of Daneenalyse Mercedes Wynne Brown

The first superhero you ever meet, doesn't come in the DC or Marvel comic books, like we're taught. Cape, tights, you know, the works. Instead, they come with beautiful brown skin, dark brown hair, the most big, beautiful brown eyes you've ever seen, and a heart set on fire. Resilience. Neena was always ahead of her time; she understood the meaning of loyalty, family, and love - way before we ever did. She had an old soul that knew how to make you laugh at yourself! You couldn't do anything but respect the truth bc Neena is going to tell you what's real, but you will know she loves you through, and at the end of the conversation. One thing that Neena understood better than anyone else, was how cruel this world could be. In her own ways, she equipped us with some tool to help us navigate the world and be in a better place than she was able to be. For me, she properly introduced me to the many ways I could enjoy and engross myself into music. She instilled confidence in me and showed me what power looked like, at a young age. For our family, she taught us what being true to yourself meant, what self-sacrifice looks like, what standing on your word means, how to have true fun by yourself or with others, and the true definition of being strong and surviving through adversity. How about you, can you relate? Even through her transitioning, she's still teaching us! Our final lesson: we need to stop taking things, people and their time, for granted. We all thought we had more time, all of us. I encourage everyone to remember the light that Neena brought to our lives, lterally take that light and use it to be a better version of yourself from this day forward.
